Our Ranger was 9 years old, and the love of our lives, and for anyone else who knew him. Ranger crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, Aug. 25th lovingly in our arms, and his sister close by. He was loyal and obedient, even to his last breath.
Ranger got sick suddenly with a rare liver condition. Ranger fought a good fight, but the bacteria and poisons in his blood were too much to handle. We were very fortunate to be able to bring him home where he spent his last hours with us, just visiting all his favorite spots in the home and yard.
Ranger was a therapy assistance dog and visited the teens at the Boulder Juvenile Center on Saturdays with Janice. He loved heading down the canyon to work with them. Ranger went into the office every chance he could get with Larry. He loved car rides and our lives and vacations were focused around the dogs.
Our Ranger was a little tricky – working to get what he wanted, talkative, intelligent, but mostly a sweet beautiful gentle boy. He appeared ferocious but was really just one big bundle of joy. He leaves behind a whole basket full of stuffed animals – and he used to play with every one! The world seems less joyful now that he’s gone.
Ranger can never be replaced, but only forever remembered in our hearts.
Goodbye, my good friend…..Larry
Until we meet again, sweet boy…Janice
